Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. Job Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials according to project specifications.
- Construct and assemble wooden structures such as frameworks, cabinets, shelves, and furniture.
- Install doors, windows, trim, and hardware.
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures and fixtures.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and electricians, to complete projects.
- Follow blueprints, sketches, and building plans to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders, safely and effectively.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in carpentry or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with woodworking techniques and tools.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and building plans.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques, including measuring, cutting, and shaping wood.
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- License Requirement:
While not always required, any relevant certifications or licenses in carpentry are a plus.
